Need Stitches for a Wound or Cut?
Most minor wounds are not life threatening. This includes cuts and abbrassions. However, such wounds should be properly treated to prevent infection and scarring complications. If you require simple suturing (stitches or staples) for a minor wound, we can help.
The suturing process is simple and can be completed in as little as 15 minutes. The wound is first thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. We then place the stitches or staples to close the wound. You may experience slight discomfort as the sutures are put in. The wound is then bandaged, if needed. You should keep the wound clean and avoid touching the sutures until we return and take them out. In some cases, the stitches or staples may come out on their own. This shouldn’t be a problem, but you can call us if you have questions.
Anywhere UrgentCare™ provides simple suturing at your home. We put the stitches in and come back later to take them out. This saves you several trips to the doctor or emergency room. Give us a call to schedule a time and place that’s convenient for you …

First Aid for Minor Cuts and Wounds
Your wound should be treated as soon as possible, but it’s not emergency. And we don’t recommend suturing the wound yourself. Simple first aid is sufficient. Clean your wound with soap and water. Be sure to scrub and remove any debris or dirt. Then cover with a sterilized bandage. Remove jewelry that may cause loss of circulation. Apply a cold pack or towel to reduce swelling. Repeat these steps once or twice a day until we visit you.
