Think You Might Be Pregnant? Get a Test Done at Your Home!
A pregnancy test is just what it sounds like, a urine test that determines if a woman is pregnant or not. A pregnancy test works by measuring the presence of the hormone HCG, which is more formally known as human chorionic gonadotropin, in a woman’s urnine. The hCG hormone is present around six days post fertilization. In a healthy pregnancy, the hormone levels continue to rapidly rise thereafter.
Over-the-counter pregnancy tests are convenient and private. However, they may not be accurate enough. You don’t want to risk a false negative test. Anywhere UrgentCare™ can come to your home at a time of your choosing. We travel to any location in Colorado Springs, Monument, or Black Forest. And your information is always kept private and confidential.
During the visit, our nurse practitioner provides you a urine test kit to determine if you are pregnant or not with better than 98 percent accuracy. You are also given medical prenatal health advice. We can refer you to a doctor if you don’t have one.

What Are Signs of Pregnancy?
Every woman is different, some will have all, none or a few of the following typical pregnancy symptoms:
- missed menstrual period
- changes in the breasts (tenderness, fullness, soreness, darkened nipples)
- overly tired
- nauseous (morning sickness)
- dizziness or fainting
- back pain or headaches
- constipation
- frequent urination
- mood swings
When It’s Time For a Pregnancy Test:
If you experience some of the symptoms of pregnancy, it’s time to take a pregnancy test. You can get a urine test at the store or at your doctor’s office.
Blood tests are also utilized to determine pregnancy. Thankfully, you can use our mobile urgent care for this if you don’t want to take a trip to the doctor.
What to Do After a Positive Result:
Once you get a positive pregnancy test result, it’s best to see your doctor, preferably an obstetrician/gynecologist or OB/GYN. They start you on the proper prenatal care. For example, they let you know what you should eat. They also tell you if you need to avoid certain foods or activities. A due date is usually determined as well. This lets you know when you can expect to have your baby.
